E is for Envelopes – a budget planning tool,
F is for Facebook – playing Scrabble is so cool.
G is for Gusto – Stevie Nicks had none that night,
H is for Happy – because our lives turned out so right.
I is for Inaugural – it was Boyz II Men, I’d wager,
J is for Journalism – not the standard Lehigh major.
K is for kids – yours are awesome, just like you,
L is for Lanier – your favorite place to mew.
M is for Mary Chapin Carpenter – is she thin or is she fat?
N is for Neuroscience – there’s a society for that?
O is for Old – we’re not there yet, to be sure,
P is for Pro-sem – the worst class to endure.
Q is for Quick! -- what do you grab first in a fire?
R is for “Report to Me” – which sometimes is required.
S is for the Saxony – our favorite concert hall,
T is for thirthysomething – let’s re-watch them all.
U is for Unice – no really, there’s no “E”
V is for visits, Northampton, camp, DC.
W is for writing – yours was always a cut above,
X is for X-tra – extra special, extra love.
Y is for years – more than half our lives I’m proud to say,
Z is for ZZZZZZ – it’s been a long day.
